I do not even know where to begin with this palette. Gosh it is brilliant. Let me start off by saying Jaclyn Hill is by far, my favorite professional makeup artist. I have probably learned 90% of what I know about makeup from her. She is beyond talented. If you haven't heard of her, go check her out now! You'll probably spend the next hour of your life watching all of her YouTube videos.
Anyways, she teamed up with Morphe brushes to create the most amazing eye shadow palette. I was so excited to try out this palette because it has so many warm toned shadows which I haven't owned until now. These shadows are SO PIGMENTED and ridiculously easy to blend. I kid you not, my favorite shadows I have tried to date. For so many beautiful shadows you're thinking at least $50, right? Well prepare to be amazed... the palette costs $27.99 for 28 shadows! You cannot beat that price for the quality of this product. I do apologize because the palette is currently out of stock but the website indicates that it will be available again between March-April 2015! Quick shout-out to my sis who stayed up past 2:00 am on New Year's to buy this palette for me for my birthday! I am eternally grateful! ;)
So basically I was purchasing something online from Ulta and I really didn't want to pay for shipping (story of my life) so I added this powder to my cart last minute. It had great reviews and unlike the other powders I know and love, it is not translucent so I decided to try it out. Well, I ended up loving it! It keeps my skin mattified which is most important to me, but also gives excellent coverage. Probably even better coverage than Tarte smooth operatorβ’ Amazonian clay finishing powder. I also love the packaging because I feel like it doesn't make nearly as much of a mess as my other loose powders do. This product is a little bit pricey, but what high-end powder isn't? And I truly enjoy this one.
I've been on a matte shadow kick for years, but lately I've just been loving a pop of shimmer! What I love about this shadow is it's versatility. I can apply it to the entire lid for a bronzy, bright eye look, or use in conjunction with a warm brown shadow for a beautiful smoky eye. So quick and easy to apply with the built in sponge applicator and incredibly pigmented. Looking forward to purchasing other colors!
I have had super dry cracked lips this past month and my dermatologist recommended this product to me. It is so soothing and my lips feel incredibly hydrated just moments after using! Even when this dryness is over I will continue using it because it is such a great moisturizer.
NYX COSMETICS Intense Butter Gloss
I was SO excited when NYX announced the release of these products. You guys already know about my obsession with their matte lipcreams so I was super excited to try this! I'm not a huge fan of glosses because I don't like the sticky or slippery way they tend to slide off of the lips and I usually like some type of pigmentation in my lip product. The Intense Butter Glosses do not disappoint! The pigmentation is amazing and the gloss do not feel like it will slip off. I am especially in love with the colors Chocolate Crepe and Toasted Marshmallow!
BANANA BOAT Summer Color Sunless Tinted Lotion
I've been using Jergens Natural Glow for a few years now and though I like it, I was running low on my bottle and decided to try something new. I picked up the "Deep Dark Color" version at Ulta (also available in light/medium), went home to try it out and could not believe the IMMEDIATE results I received. With Jergens, I feel like I couldn't see a difference for a day or so but this Banana Boat lotion gave me an instantaneous, even tan. Not orange at all! Like all sunless tanners, you have to be cautious while applying with your hands but overall I am really happy with this product!
