I have tried way too many foundations in the 10 years I've been wearing makeup. Since I have oily and acne-prone skin, it has been quite the challenge to find products that work for me. But thankfully, I have found a few products that I am absolutely in love with and would like to share them with you. These products are not exclusively for oily, acne-prone skin but can also work for those who are looking for a natural or matte finish in their foundation. Below are a few different foundations/powders that I love.
Favorite Drugstore Foundation: L 'Oreal True Match™ Super Blendable Makeup
This is my favorite drugstore foundation and yeah, I know I've talked about it before... but at least that shows you how much I love it! It does such a great job controlling oil and gives amazing coverage. There is such an incredible variation of colors and it is oil free so I have absolutely no problems with breakouts.

Favorite Long-Wear Foundation: Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup
This is the foundation I chose to wear on my wedding day and I am so glad I did. I remember looking in the mirror at the end of the night after wearing my makeup the entire day and being shocked at how amazing it still looked! It really does stay in place, is full coverage, and feels wonderful on the skin.

Favorite BB cream: Garnier Skin Renew Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream, Combination To Oily Skin
This is the perfect BB cream to wear on a day where you don't have a whole lot of time to spend on your makeup because it goes on the skin like a lotion. So simple to blend! It is medium coverage but still buildable and does a great job of controlling oil with a good powder on top. My favorite part is that it looks so natural! I still remember the first time I wore this BB cream, my husband couldn't stop staring at my face because he loved how natural it looked. He loves it. I love it. You will too.

Favorite Mattifying Foundation: Clarins Ever Matte Oil-Free Foundation
This is my favorite oil-control foundation. It is extremely mattifying and controls oil all day. OMG and can we talk about the smell!?!?! It smells incredible (made from plant extracts). I would consider this foundation medium coverage. The only unfortunate thing is that it's not very buildable. Although it does a great job of evening out the skin tone, I finish with a full coverage concealer to cover any blemishes (so if you've got oily but clear skin, search no more). I also think this foundation is for more pink and neutral skin tones. Since I have warm, olive-toned skin, I had an issue finding a color that matched me.

Favorite Mattifying Powder: De-Slick Mattifying Powder - Urban Decay
This is a setting powder that I have repurchased several times. It is translucent and does a great job of controlling oil. Definitely a great choice for every day use.
Favorite HD powder: Tarte smooth operator™ Amazonian clay finishing powder
This is currently my go-to setting powder. It is an ultra-fine HD powder that looks extremely natural on the skin and controls oil marvelously. I absolutely love this product and completely and totally recommend it.
